- Medical Professional Mutual Insurance Company (“ProMutual”), a Coverys company and a leading industry medical professional liability insurance company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael W. Louge to its board of directors.
Louge has more than thirty years of experience as a leader in the healthcare industry. He is currently the executive vice president and chief operating officer of OhioHealth Corporation in Columbus, Ohio, a $3 billion integrated, regional health system. In this role, he is responsible for the operations of 11 hospitals, an ambulatory network of more than 50 health and surgery centers, rehab facilities, hospice, home health and medical equipment businesses, and the employed physician organization. His tenure at OhioHealth has resulted in the successful and continued expansion of the company, leading the organization’s strategy toward a value-based payment model and overseeing the acquisition of three new member hospitals in 2014.

In addition to his work for OhioHealth Corporation, Louge is on the board of directors for the OhioHealth Group, Ohio Hospital Association, Columbus 2020 and the Center of Science and Industry. He is also currently a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Prior to working at OhioHealth, Louge served as senior vice president and chief financial officer at SETON Healthcare Network in Austin, Texas. Louge also served as vice president of financial operations at Presbyterian Healthcare System in Dallas, and he is a certified public accountant in both Texas and Ohio. He currently resides in Powell, Ohio with his wife and two daughters.
