Mike Sibthorpe

Mike is an experienced professional in the Lloyd’s market having held a number of chief executive officer and chief underwriting officer roles in the market. Until 2008, Mike was CEO of Brit Global markets and active underwriter of s2987 following which he established as CEO of WR Berkley Syndicate Management and s1967. Mike was also CUO of AmTrust at Lloyd’s overseeing the acquisition of ANV and amalgamation into s1861. 
 
With a background in banking and finance, Mike’s experience helps set the strategic platform for Coverys operations and focus the expertise that the Coverys group brings with professional liability insurance offerings and risk management solutions for the medical community. 


Chris Brooking

Chris began his insurance career in 2003 working on the healthcare and professional liability account at Catlin and was promoted to class underwriter for the healthcare portfolio in 2009. In 2013, he joined the Barbican Syndicate as underwriting manager for healthcare, responsible for rebuilding the US and international healthcare portfolio. In 2015, Chris moved to BRIT Global Specialty to establish a new healthcare portfolio. In 2019, he made the switch to the broking side, joining Tysers as a director and head of healthcare. In 2021, Chris moved to Price Forbes as a director to join the established healthcare team there.
 
In 2023, Chris assumed the role of chief underwriting officer at Coverys in London. He is responsible for building out the company platform in the UK. Chris is ACII qualified and holds a BSC (Hons) in politics and economics from the University of Bath. Chris has previously been a member of the LMA North American E&O Panel and is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Insurers.
