Dr. Alvarez has led ProHealth Physicians since April 2019, after a successful tenure with Cleveland Clinic, where he served as President of Akron General Partners Physician Group and Director of the Office of Physician Alignment for the Cleveland Clinic enterprise. Under his leadership, the organization tripled the number of employed providers (reaching close to 400 in five years), reduced out-of-system referrals to less than 5%, and grew the number of ambulatory sites by more than 50%. ProHealth Physicians is Connecticut’s leading community-based primary care physician organization, made up of approximately 400 physicians across every county in Connecticut.

Her clinical experience includes practicing as a physician assistant in both hospitals and physician offices. She has also worked as a hospital risk manager. Her insurance career includes developing risk management programs, managing a risk management department team, and working closely with insured healthcare clients.
