Gain the Benefits of MSSP

The Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) is a voluntary population-health model that enables providers to come together to form an accountable care organization (ACO). An ACO is responsible for the quality, cost, and overall care of an assigned population of Medicare fee-for-service (FFS) beneficiaries.

There are currently over 400 ACOs participating in MSSP, and they are managing the care of approximately 11 million Medicare beneficiaries.

What Are the Benefits of MSSP?

Providers who participate in MSSP will gain:
  • A framework that promotes care coordination aimed at improving outcomes for patients.
  • Access to valuable data that supports care improvement initiatives.
  • Opportunity to earn additional revenue compared to traditional FFS.
  • Ability to select a “risk track” that best suits the ACO’s risk tolerance. Within the chosen track, there is a level of shared savings, shared losses, and merit-based incentive payment system (MIPS) bonuses.
